This prestigious educational venture of the Syro Malankara Catholic Arch Diocese of Tiruvalla, was established in the year 1981. The diocese owns and manages various educational institutions ranging from Primary Schools to Medical College and Management institutions.

St Joseph’s Central School & Junior College is a co educational institution affiliated to Central Board of Secondary education, Delhi (C.B.S.E.). The school is situated in a serene and ideal atmosphere for education,in the heart of Mundakayam. St Joseph’s central School was founded in 1981 and was upgraded to Senior Secondary level in 1997 The aim of the school is to give basics training to all children of Mundakayam and its surroundings, irrespective of caste and creed, in the development of their spiritual , moral, physical and intellectual abilities . They are inspired to love God and man and are encouraged to imbibe the qualities of politeness, punctuality and cleanliness St Joseph’s Central School has always been trying to bring out the best in all students. We provide all facilities to help the young minds pursue their tastes and interests. We also emphasize the importance of inculcating a sense of social awareness and true patriotism in the young minds. The management and staff of school are totally dedicated to this cause.
St. Joseph’s Central School was started in the year 1981 and was upgraded to Senior Secondary level in 1997. The school was shifted to the CBSE stream in 1990.The CBSE board visited the school in 1992 and affiliation was granted. The first Xth batch appeared for the board exam in 1995/96 and first XIIth batch appeared for board exam in 1997/98. The history of St. Joseph’s is studded with impressive achievements.
